6950 artifacts

Thread Starter
firstly if this is the wrong forum I apologise though it looks like it is from a few threads on the first page.

I've recently swapped out my 5770 for a 6950 and since then I've had some fairly bad artifacts with windows aero anything from chrome's search suggestions to the windows 7 start menu will have artifact though I haven't noticed any in any games I've been playing this is a completely stock Sapphire 6950 2GB edition and I can't honestly think what is wrong.

One small bit of information I have was when I first installed the 6950 I still had 5770 drivers after which I reinstalled the 5770 removed them and booted with my 6950 in and installed them from the ATI website any advice would be very much appreciated

I've took it one step further and reinstalled Windows, long overdue anyway as it was getting slow and I had tonnes of programs installed so far so good
