Thread Starter
Hello Overclockers,
I'm about to pick up a GTX 580 (upgrading from my GTX 280 SLI).
I usually buy EVGA but the PNY and Zotac are on sale and the price is too good to resist.
I've read a couple of threads on the question but I've got mixed responses.
Has anyone had experience with cards from either company?
Which one should i pick up?
Cheers

Since both cards are the same the only difference is warranty and customer service. From reading around here Zotac seems to have more satisfied customers in terms of RMA and customer service.

Also PNY's Lifetime warranty is only for the "shelf lifetime" of the product. Once the product is not readily available anymore, you can consider your warranty null and void.

I own a Zotac 570 gtx and I'm very satisfied with it, I've also heard it has one of the best warranties and support which I have never had to use so far because the card is so great.

Get the Zotac, PNY are down there with Gainward/Palit

Gainward is a fine brand, they've put out lots of great products over the years. And Palit (their parent company) doesn't suck either.

Honestly I think either way you go you're getting a reference card made in the same chinese factory. I'd probably get zotac though just on account of PNY's done some sketchy warranty stuff in the past, as mentioned above.

Zotac if you're only with those two, MSI if not.

I'd go with Zotac over PNY any day of the week, as I've heard they have quite good RMA support as well as their better warranty.
