http://www.scan.co.uk/products/60gb-...0mb-s-80k-iops

550mb/s rad and 490 write? It's in scans today only deals but still that seems very very cheap, what's the catch?

Edit: the price on that one isn't the price it is in todays deals, todays deals has it at only £80 >_>

I'm happy I got my SSD for a steal at $65 but I'd rather have that Corsair.

Here is the US Newegg Online Deal thread on it, Few people that own it have commented.

60GB of asynchronous MLC NAND and a sandforce controller really shouldn't be any more expensive than that.

The numbers stated in the specs are largely meaningless.

With the release of SATA3 SSD's prices are going down.

I bought a 50gb SATA2 SSD about 2 years ago for $180. Prices are really going down for Hard Drives and SSD's

Asynchronous MLC NAND with a sandforce controller is really what you want to have....

That's what you should look for when you buy an SSD, anything less will not perform well.

I bought one that didn't even have Trim Support and man the performance degraded so fast it was horrible.

If my memory serves me correctly there were some issues with some of the newer Sandforce drives, better research that to make sure!
