Midi or compact tower gaming case on a budget

Thread Starter
I need a case that is on the compact size, was possibly looking at CM Elite 430 like price and side window but unsure on durability!

Havent bought anything yet but specs so far are looking like:
i5 2500k overclocked
gtx 460 overclocked and possibly upgrade to SLi in a few months
Havent decided yet on other components due to not knowing cost of case!

What are peoples recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Personally the arc midi is best bang for utility atm. It has a lot of features most cases are missing.

I would look at the following cases (in order of how awesome I personally think they are):

ATX:
Fractal Design Arc Midi http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Tpk=arc%20midi

Lian Li PC A05N http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112218

Coolermaster 690 II http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119216

Micro ATX:
Arc mini: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811352008

NZXT Vulcan (the case I will likely buy myself): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=nzxt%20vulcan

I would get the arc mini, but it's not out in Canada. The Vulcan is nice because it can, properly outfitted, cool RIDICULOUS setups, like SLI'd 590s: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/rev...rior_ii_review

No matter which case you buy, I recommend you have a serious look at the Asus Maximus Gene-Z motherboard. It is micro ATX, but it can do 2 way SLI/Crossfire and can overclock REALLY REALLY well: http://www.guru3d.com/article/asus-m...gene-z-review/

Welcome to OCN!

You need not worry about Elite 430's durability. You cannot compare its quality with a £300 Lian Li, of course. But at its £36 price, it is a jolly good chassis.

IMHO, the 'weakness' of the Elite 430 is its weak cable management, relatively speaking. However, if you have a fairly simple setup with not many components and with a modular PSU, this should not be a big problem. With its rich features, the Elite 430 is definitely a good candidate.

Regarding the motherboard choice, I strongly advise you to find a motherboard with at least one empty slot in between the two GTX460s in SLI. Many people with SLI/CF experience (including myself) would certainly make this recommendation.
