What Motherboard and GPU would you get...

Thread Starter
for $260 shipped?

I am not worried about overclocking but I need the motherboard to do Crossfire (if ATI GPU) or SLI (if NVidia). I would love AM3+ but it isn't necessary if it will severely hurt the budget for the GPU. I don't need USB 3.0 but again, wouldn't say no. I have been looking and a lot of the budget motherboards to crossfire at x16/x4. I would very much prefer not having to deal with x4 speeds. However, if you think this preference is unnecessary, tell me.

The CPU I am putting in is a previously used 1090T and this isn't going to be a huge gaming computer. Just don't want it to be unable to play anything in 2 years.

As for the GPU, I wouldn't mind refurbished (EVGA B-stock for example) but I would prefer to spend an extra $10-$20 for a warranty so unless the price drop is fairly substantial, I won't consider it. The GPU I currently have in mind is the Sapphire 6970 which is $155 shipped after rebate on Newegg.

The board i am using is pretty good and the price isn't to bad can do 8x with crossfire or sli. If you want to go under $100 look into the 970 boards.

This one isn't bad either, good reviews and great features it for the price.
