PC GAMERS: "We won't play it until it requires the two most modern top notch gfx cards in sli to max out"
Console Gamers: "Exactly our point, we have no intention on spending 1k on gfx cards alone"

Moral: You can win over everybody.

So excited!. Preordering this awesome game!. A bit worried about the 580s in SLI, though.

The 580's in SLI was probably to get 60+ FPS AT ALL times. Probably averaged 70-80 fps if they want truly smooth gameplay.

Clearly they wanted everyone there to experience BF3 at the fullest settings with no slowdowns or crappy 30 fps like the lolconsoles.

If a 580 gets 35-45 fps on max settings on a 64 player server that's fine by me. The next-gen AMD cards are coming out close to BF3 so it's no real loss.

Pretty sure the BETA will be the same as the Alpha.

Operation Metro - Rush - 32 players.

I highly, HIGHLY doubt this.

Operation Metro is NOT a good map to give people a 'taste' of BF3. That map does NOT do BF3 justice.

Beta will essentially be a free demo for everyone much like BC2's beta used that snow map with full 32 players.

To use metro as a demo map is not a smart move seeing as the Caspian Border gameplay vid got A LOT of people hyped up.

If caspian was at gamescom, it will be at beta as well seeing as E3 got Metro and so did Alpha.

I hope my 570 can handle it. For now I run 1680 x 1050 so I might be able to get good performance at close to max settings. I'll probably overclock it a bit for now and SLI later. I may have to run it with low AA.

i dont think your right, the alpha had the operation metro which was at the last conference and now they are pushing the borders map, so im pretty sure they will get us addicted to the jets as gamescon has borders.
