What is so hard about removing a battery?

I have set all my programs to not load at startup. I know there are those process thingy's in the task manager but I don't think those would use up much of the pc. as for viruses I shouldn't have any since I just built the pc and the first thing I did was put protection on it. I'll try a scan but haven't seen anything strange. my sig rig almost never goes above 30 percent and this one is staying around there when nothing is open. very strange.

My CPU right now with just the internet open is about 15% across 4 cores. I wouldn't worry about it anyway, If you aren't experiencing BSOD etc i would just leave it.

The fact that it is covered by a GPU oftentimes, and is a pain to get out. Its dependent on motherboard layout i suppose, but personally i prefer just using the jumper, because that's why its there.

I totally forgot about the GPU, yes mine blocks it as well, but it takes me 20 seconds to get the GPU out anyway.

allright, so I removed the battery from the mobo and re-booted. something is not right because I am missing icons like my wireless network and the others that were down in the right hand corner. when I go to set which icons and notifications appear on the taskbar there is almost nothing there now. also when I try windows update it says there is an error. what happened? when I restarted the pc it gave me some bios options and I hit the one that took me straight to the bios. then I just exited bios and windows started. what should I do? I didn't kill anything removing the battery, did I?
