Well, looks like the impeller is messed up so the pump is pretty much trash.....

In an attempt to "fix" things I kinda got the pump working....kinda. It now surges. It will spin up and surge faster and faster until it will just stop. Then repeat...

Just got my new pump and hooked it up but found some problems... It runs really nice but it runs for a while and then shuts off. I think it is either because of the pump top I'm using or because I just have it hooked up to itself by about 1 ft of tubing with a T-line. Should I try hooking up the radiator and blocks to see if it runs better?

Replaced the power supply and added everything to the loop and the pump is now running flawlessly . Right now it is setup like this pump>rad>gpu block>cpu block. No res, just a t-line for now. Can't really see much but here's a crappy video of my current setup:

That looks to be a Detroit Thermo D5 top (a bit of info here, if you're interested: http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...mo-d5-top.html ).

Messed up pump or no, you got a heck of a deal.

Really nervous but after about 3 hours of leak testing outside the system I think its time for some leak testing with all the blocks fitted. Last post before the silver dragon goes down for surgery!

I nearly had a meltdown. I was installing the block, but I couldn't find the top mounting plate! Luckily it was in the box under the foam. Thank god that the guy I bought it from literally kept all of the mounting hardware. Leak testing it right now; took ages to fill up with that huge reservoir. Only the CPU block is hooked up because its late and the graphics card seems like a PITA.

Well, looks like one of the barbs on the radiator is leaking and despite trying to fix it nothing is really helping. Computer might be down longer than anticipated... Gonna get some new barbs and order new hose for everything
