hi i have old amd system which is

AMD X2 5600
ASUS M2N4-SLI nVIDIA nFORCE4
CORSAIR TWIN2X1024A-6400 1GB (512MB x 2) 800MHZ

notice this board support SLI ?

i want to try to fold with SLI GTX470 for only one day i have 900W intec

i know it will be huge bottle neck but it will work with these heavy cards i mean the board ?

If you want to fold you don't need to put the gpu's in SLI.

No, it is better to fold them separately. It doesn't scale that way.

Aye, SLI can cause issues with multiple clients, and if it doesn't, it still doesn't give better PPD. You need to run a separate client for each GPU.

If you're running that and just folding on the GPUs it'll work perfectly.
I folded for months on my two 470s with a pentium D and an nforce 4 motherboard.
It probably wouldn't be worth it to fold on the CPU as well though, it'll use a lot of power for very little points output.
My 470s pushed around 14-15K each with the pentium D so that system would fold pretty well.

Edit: Oh and the pentium D was barely holding the cards back at all, GPU folding has very little impact on CPU usage when you consider the amount of work the cards are doing.
