SB850 Raid Array Consistently Failing

I own two 500Gig F3 drives, when I first bought them I tried to set up a raid 0 array. Initially everything worked like a charm, 240MB/s read made me cry tears of joy. But about 13 hours later, BSOD, reboot, and the screen stays at (Loading Operating System) Windows repair finds an NTFS volume issue, says its fixed it, but I still cant boot. So I wipe the drives and try again, same thing, raid array wont last more than a day. I gave up on it, and have been running both drives separately for more than a year. I really want to get RAID working, but I have no idea whats wrong. I am inexperienced with RAID arrays, but this just seems strange. Also, I tried using the two SATA 3.0 ports (white) the board has but the drives didn't show up in the RAID array setup in bios. Making me more confused.

Ran HDtune error check, both drives have no issues.

any help would be great... I miss them speeds Q_Q

Odd.

Try using the white SATA ports by enabling the jmicron controller in the system BIOS.

Drives don't show up in the raid setup utility in bios when I use the white ports (with the jmicron controller enabled)

Found the issue, (I Think). First issue was bios not detecting the hard-drives correctly, causing the windows 7 install to take 45 minutes to get to the language select screen... seriously.. 45 minutes. Next, in the raid settings gigabyte boundary was selected, useless for raid0 I turned it off. Then I noticed something I should have from the start. When I made the array of two 500GB drives, windows detected it as a 999GB drive and that's not right at all.. now with gigabyte boundary off and new bios it detects the array as 931GBs. If it makes it a week, im calling it good lol. Il update this thread if anything happens.. But I dont think anyone really looked at it any how btw thanks for the help quadx
