Sennheiser HD202 to JVC HARX700

Thread Starter
I'm using an ASUS Xonar DG and would like to know if upgrading from a Sennheiser HD202 to a JVC HARX700 would be a huge improvement. Also, my Zalman microphone sounds quite tinny, are there any other decent microphones I should look into?

It won't be that quite huge because it's still a budget can, but it will of course sound better.

Definitely an upgrade. The RX700s aren't fantastic, but in their price range you are hard pressed to find anything better.

In fact I consider them very underpriced.

What are your music preferences?

I know of a few other cans within the $40 price range.

My vote goes to a pair of Superlux HD681

If i remember correctly, they are far more fun to wear, albeit a tiny bit warmer.

They look like 240's but have more plentiful bass and a little more extention into the lower spectrum.

Anymore input before I purchase the HARX700?
