You can try, but you will likely bump into problems with the software afterwards. You'll be going from 25W to 35W, so you might need some extra cooling.

Imo save up money and buy a brand new one. Upgrading a laptop is not all that efficient. You might be lucky and not, but you will most likely bumb into problems, which could range from incompatability to heat to power consumption. Personally i don't recomend upgrading anything on any laptop, with the exception of ADDING ram (not replacing). Good luck if you are planning to carry on tho

The 667 mhz ram is fine, since the laptop isn't high end. If I wanted to upgrade that laptop I would probably ADD 667mhz ram since there really isn't that much of an improvement from 667 to 800 mhz. Sure in testing programs and benchmarks, but for normal use you don't notice it. I almost forgot HDD, it's probably the best thing you can replace on a laptop. But still, I am still suggesting a new lappy

Honestly I don't know about compatability, I just gave you my 2 cents about what I think you should do. But if you are planning on carrying on with an upgrade I am afraid I am not the right man when it comes to laptop upgrading since I never really felt the need to look into it
