If you're going for looks, might as well go xspc and beat the crap outta the h80 in the looks/performance category. You already have the best in aircooling, only thing left is to get is high end water. Why downgrade?

I just got my silver arrow yesterday, and i love the temperatures. But im still gonna get me an xspc rx240 next week to play around with.

Lol.

Really? My H100 with push pull AP14s/15s blows away my NH-D14 when it had the default 140mm plus an AP-15 in push so you claim has little validity. Not to mention it's pretty much dead silent on the fan side. And when the heat is cranking in games I can't hear it over my 580s anyway.

6c drop off load temps with push pull is quite an improvement.

You are talking about 50$ more expensive cooler and about H100.
This is complete off topic.

Another vote for H100. In the Overclock3D review, it beat the NH-D14 by 7.5C with fans on high. I'm willing to bet it still beats it or at least matches it with the fans on medium at much lower noise levels. No need for other fans as suggested above and hardly off topic.

Don't forget your GPU temps will also benefit with the Corsair units installed to exhaust.

Unfair comparison much? higher RPM fans and more expensive cooler. Also GT's are expensive and hard to find.

NOPE.
And you do realize that the high rpm mode is 2500 rpm? while the D14/SA fans are at a nice and quiet 1200/1300 rpm.

Didn't know you were forum police.

Here's my PBA card.

Anyway. In at least one review the reviewer neglected to use the MEDIUM setting on the H100 which runs silently at 1600RPM. So this is where sound/performance is relative.

I never even used the stock fans on the cooler, they are being used as case fans connected to the block on medium. And they are near silent.

As you know the H80 has the same fans as the H100 so this is all relevant. They are very quiet on medium, and not as badly performing as most people in this thread make them about to be. The H80 is a great cooler for 82$ shipped after MIR. Especially since it won't foul up your interior with giant tower heatsinks.

It's up to you OP. I went from an NH-D14 to a H100 and only spent an extra 60$ because I sold my NH-D14 for $65 and believe me, I won't go back to air unless they find a way to make them less obtrusive and gaudy. Especially not when the H100 outperforms it.

It all depends on your environment and the rest of your components. I laugh at anyone who calls Corsair H series "silent". Quiet yes, silent is another story. You may have a graphics card generating 40db+ of noise constantly, or maybe an air conditioner in your room, so the rest of your components seems silent, but they are not.

Coming from both SA and Corsair H80, I can tell you the TY-140s on the SA is much quieter than whatever fan H80 has. You can get another set of fans, but that wouldn't be a fair comparison now, would it?
