Razer Blackwidow Ultimate query...

Thread Starter
I have had my BWU for a couple weeks now and have noticed that for some reason the "Pause/Break" key does not have the backlighting on most of the time, yet very rarely it will be on with the rest of the keys. Also, the delete key is backlit, but noticeably dimmer than the rest of the keys that are lit up. Other than that, the board is working perfectly fine. Just an annoying issue that I was wondering if anyone else has come across?

I know the backlighting under the Pause key shouldn't be burnt out or anything, because sometimes when I first turn my PC on, it is lit up with the rest, then it goes out shortly after. Any potential fixes for this, other than a horrible RMA process?

Thanks in advance guys

RMA sadly. I have a BWU and can assure you neither of the issues are "normal". If the board works, and you can live with it. I would. But if it bothers you. RMA is pretty much your only option.

Just got to playing with mine, Looks like my 5 on my num pad maxxes out at the medium setting of brightness. its noticably dimmer than the rest on HIGH.

Ok, thanks. I was afraid of that I love you Razer, but you're products are some of the worst constructed I've ever come across...

I RMA'd mine with Razer when a key started getting sticky.

Got a brand new one back within a week. I wouldn't underestimate them, it is their first mechanical after all.

Their horrendous build quality goes far beyond their keyboards...my Mamba died within a month as well, and there are tons of testimonials to similar issues all around the internets. I do like their stuff in terms of how it feels to use, though, and would consider myself a fan so don't get me wrong I'm not being overly critical of them. I keep giving them my money and second chances after all

Here's to hoping my RMA ends up as smoothly as yours does!

Luck of the draw. Been using a Naga for a year, and DA with 5 months, absolutely no problems. Used a Diamondback for ~5 years without a hitch.
