Just to let you kno, I tasted the full force of this site...

Everyone and their mother will ride you like a Rodeo if you even mention anything with socket 1366 on it.. Seriously you are better off keeping to yourself if you wanna get past the guards on OCN lol. But he is right, and people really should post better reason to get 1155 over 1366 besides it being new and 1366 being older.

Price

Performance ( K series is unlocked for 300+ dolla)

Mobo's for 1155 are future proof for Ivy bridge tech

Ivybridge

Thats about it... and thats really all you need to know unless you wanna rock a 6core processor, either way its your computer man and your choice.

Exactly, not much else to say but i also agree you need to be looking at the intel 1155 sandybridge platform and either a 2600k or 2500k cpu coupled with a z68 chipset motherboard 1366 x58 is soon to be obsolete

I would go the route of the Gigabyte Z68XP-UD4 or P67A-UD4 and the Intel 2500k.

As far as ram, G.Skill is good, and 6gb would be fine for most games or applications.

If you want 6GB on Sandybrdige you'll need a 2GB+4GB set of DIMMs; go for 8GB instead
