lol lots of help in here already but im just starting out also though ill recommend some parts that i purchased recently for ram i got http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820233180 it was cheap enough and ended up getting two kits tested them out on my media pc all 4 sticks work perfectly ssd i sent with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148348 there's a cheaper lower gig model but new egg was sold out of them for a long time so i went with this one our gpus are are close to being same though i went with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130595 cause at the time i was doing research i read the the hd edition was haveing issue but those might have been fixed by now also make sure you get some thermal paste ^^ for mounting your cpu btw sry for the messy post

Because i7's are prettier... Last big question, I want to triple check to make sure that power supply will be adequate for my sli 570s and significant overclocking. Thanks a lot for all the help guys, I'm going back through all these new posts to +rep now.

I'm being told by a friend that SLI 570's won't be able to handle the super high resolution graphics I'm aiming for. Is that accurate? He suggested crossfire 6970's?

Well he likely is since we're a highly medicated country. But I'd like to hear the rationale as to how they wouldn't handle high res graphics.

I guess the radeon cards have more ram and thus perform better at high resolutions?
