I need Advice Please,A.S.A.P!!! - Page 9

I was debating the same thing for a while. but it was SLI 470 vs single 570. While the SLI will beat the 570, the 570 is a single card solution at your res. My sig rig ran BC2 maxed minus AA/AF with 60+fps, that was at 1920x1080.

I finally decided to go with a single 570 this round as it is about 10/25% faster(?) than the 470, puts off way less heat, and consumes less power. If there is ever a game that i cannot max the graphics on I will buy a second 570 and have much better performance than the sli 470.

Yes everything depends for me on the $$$ and deals offered.

the gtx 570 is more then enough for single monitor under 1080p,
but again a superclocked version of the card is 350-360$ with fans, while the stock version is a little cheaper.

with shipping and everything,a single gtx 570 would cost about the same price as (2) GTX 480 SLI.

u know my dillema now..... hehe.
the thing is if i think about a long time up in the future...i would buy a single 580.keep it for 1 year or more......and one day maybe SLI it.

But if i think good performance for now,and reliable performance for the future, what can beat gtx 480 in SLI for 400$....certainly not a single gtx 570 for about the same price.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
As for the gtx 560 Ti Sli...it seems as a pretty good alternative.
But would be more expensive then the two gtx 480....and a little less performing in demanding games....
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think my decision is made, now i only gotta make sure my system wont bottleneck or that my psu wont blow up my computer and CPU lol.
But since im not oc'ing anything and plan to keep the sli 480 pretty stock,i think ill be alright.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Is my OCZ GameXstream 850 watts a good PSU??
some say yes,i have it for 3 years now....
others....its the worst one ......

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If i need to upgrade my PSU....i will buy a single CARD for sure.

I'm sure that your PSU will be fine. Wouldn't overclock though. I would suggest an upgrade in the future if the PSU is over 3 years old.

ok,ill keep it for a year maximum then.
Thank you.

I think my mind made about my order.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since im now putting something like 400$ and not more in the video cards...
what SLI system would outbeat the other in your oppinion?

-the gtx 560 ti FPB SLI (2 cards for 400$)
or..
-the GTX 480 SLI(2 cards for 400$)

the 560 ti is pretty good, and drive less anergy and heat......but its pretty muh a gtx 460 on steroid.
While the gtx 480 cost njothing now,....theyre heating a lot,...but bring much more power, specially in SLI.(at least a lot more then a 560 ti sli)

for the same price,.....the performance marge is big.

should i stay with the gtx 480 for power???

If those are the 2 options you are going with I would go with SLI 480’s. That way you have the most amount of power for the $, and will be a little more future proof. Sure if you game in a somewhat small room it’s going to turn into a sauna but who cares . If you leave V-sync on it should reduce the GPU load therefore reducing heat.

Go SLI 480 and never look back!

Hmm refurbed video cards, I'm feeling a tad hesitant about that, maybe if there is a super warranty for it.
