Honestly, although the Switchblade seems quite tacky (to me) I am almost certain that this is the sort of product that kids will abandon consoles to use because it looks 'cool' and they can play PC games on.

I must admit it does look nice (With the actual keys) but I'd much rather prefer a proper system although this may increase the numbers that at least try PC) gaming, kids or not.

I think I will be buying one. Selling my iPad and buying one. I don't think its designed to replace yours or mine fully fledged system but along side it or for times when you can't transport even your mATX rig and a monitor around.

Its perfect for on the go gaming and paired with a mouse would be very playable for FPS too.

Hopefully the graphics capabilities are up to scratch to play most games natively at 1024x600.

I'd be interested to see what they price it as, but I think most people who already PC game know better to just buy a gaming laptop costing a bit more.

Almost seems like Razer wants to delve into the mobile gaming market currently dominated by PSP's, 3DS's and iPad's. Assuming its comparatively priced to an iPad, I would imagine most kids would want to play WoW over Angry Birds.

....Lol....

Another one of these threads rolleyes.gif . One of those threads when big companies affiliated with video games state that PC gaming is not dead, and that they will do something big but it doesn't do crap for PC gaming in general lachen.gif .

Amazing.

Well to be honest I'd only play COD4, CS:S and Fallout 3 on it so hopefully it wont be priced to insanely.

My iPad just wasn't cutting it anymore I constantly found myself having to go on a dedicated browser and doing all my school work on my desktop.

Hopefully, the swiftblade will have a mix of portability and functionality because it's running a full version of windows 7. I hope so at least!

That is you know... that the switchblades being released not a new transformers branded keyboard...

Well Razer did demo a concept for a new gaming laptop that was beautifull. Could be something related toward that. I am all for any company trying to push more life into PC gaming and do like some of their products. I am addicted to my Naga! Once you get the dexterity and muscle memory on your thumb, the possibilities of that mouse are endless.

Hoping that Razer expands their vision of that laptop concept and that they join with other gaming companies. We could see some truly amazing products!

The rest of their mice use crappy sensors, and the rest of their keyboards are cheaply made and prone to failure.

And the Deathadder, while an excellent performer, falls apart very quickly, pro gamers go through them like Nascar drivers go through tires. And the BlackWidow is one of the lowest quality mechanical keyboards on the market, selling mainly by virtue of price.

All of your "facts" are made up and opinion based. Please stop spreading misinformation among the gaming community.

I've had my Deathadder since 2006... The only thing that ended it's life was the fact that my cat chewed the cable right off. Funny, I didn't go through them like tires. I probably use my PC more than a progamer. I practically live on my PC.

So, you're logic is basing off maybe 1 or 2 bad reviews, by your logic - MY experience counteracts everything you say.
