If aliens ever get here to start a war, they would decimate this planet. The fact that they have technology for inter-stellar travel means their technology is way beyond our means.

It would probably be prudent to welcome our alien overlords.

yes they are less stealth, but they obviously decided they don't need that much stealth for much more money

apply with what you know
do you need 1000 usd intel 990x
or is 200 usd 2500k good enough for your gaming needs

Well, Price's will vary. There is some numbers circulating that it will cost about $100M per aircraft. I figure it will not be $50M because the Su-35S is about that price, or a tad bit more, and this aircraft is more advanced. But since this aircraft isn't in serial production yet, time will tell.

BTW: The future is, imo, in CAS and interception. The era of fighting 1st world country vs 1st world country is pretty much over, as most 1st world nations carry nuclear weapons, so conventional is almost out of the question (besides maybe some border conflicts). So the more emphasis in systems like A-10 and Su-25, Apache and Havocs may very well be the needed. Proven in the Iraq war, that choppers are very important, especially when flying low, below the radar.

Or, just carry a large arsenal of dumb bombs and drop the cargo over whatever territory they are flying

In all seriousness though, the importance of LO aircraft is going to go the way it is now with our current fleet of aircrafts. The ways of making it, is behind ways of destroying/tracking it. Guarenteed that it will eventually be common to get Surface to Air missile systems capable of tracking and engaging such aircrafts at long distances.

I am just a tad ticked off that they chose the PAK FA. I would have loved to seen how the Mig-1.42/44 would have ended up being like now (Started in 87, completed in 2000) if it was chosen instead. Or they should have continued on with Yak-141 jumpjet. Since that could have been used on the new Mistral ships they are acquiring.

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but why is the F35s and F22s grounded? Is this going to affect the JSF programme to export the F-35 to other countries?

Update:

Both T-50-1 and T-50-2 are grounded currently.

T-50-1 has a serious (also uknown) issue (possibly to do with the landing gear) and it is out of commision for further repair/investigation for 1 month or so

T-50-2 had an issue with the Right engine (possibly one too many birds got in) and the engine needs to be replaced and the FADAC re-calibrated. Should only take a day, not even. But may have the same issues as T-50-1 has, so it may be grounded for a bit longer.

Like F-22/35, best to have them grounded, and fixed, rather than fly and hope for the best.
