*Edit* Also that looks like the F-23.

the US is far ahead in debt with its grounded and possibly CANCELED FAILING stealth program.

thanks

Oh well, stealth technology is a novelty.

350 million dollars a plan? How worthless.

Just strap a 90,000 dollar radar jammer on the lead plane and you have the exact same thing.

Stealth technology is only worthwhile on UAV's which are already small enough that they are relatively stealthy.

I believe a single F-22 is worth as much cost wise as 6 to 10 F-15's.

Unless it could beat 10 F-15's, which it can't, its not worth it.

And that's just the factory cost, never mind the upkeep cost of it.

And when all ten get shot down due to radar? I think you are forgetting why they developed stealth technologies to begin with.

Stealth is only stealth to X-Band radar. L-Band can pick it up. I don't see why the F-15's cannot be equipped with L-Band antenna's like the Su-35S is. Add on some radar absorbing material (more composite), and more advanced jamming equipment, and you got yourself a damn fine plane.

X2. One of best posts in this thread.

VLO is the "New" AESA adaptation.

India gave the US Air Force an ass kicking in Red Flag war games in 2004 and 2008.

India is also going to be the first international buyer of the T-50s.

Name one conflict we have ever been in when that has EVER happened?

That's right, not one.

And also, that radar would be jammed with any mission over 5 planes, so SAM is out of the question.
