ok so my system is in my sig so please take a look!

Now u did, my friend wants to sell me his pc but is it better and is it worth $500?



Intel i7 - 920 Processor @ 2.66GHz
Asus P6T SE Motherboard
OCZ Platinum RAM - 6GB DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 4850 Graphics Card
750 Watt CoolerMaster PSU
Seagate HDD - 500GB
LG DVD Reader/Writer Optical Drive

Windows 7 Home Premium Edition - 64bit installed plus latest graphics drivers.

Everything is bundled in a badass looking Thermaltake V9 Black Edition case.

Things that are better from yours: GPU, HDD, PSU (4890 is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the 4850)
Things that are better from his: Processor, memory, motherboard

IMO NOT worth $500, you might as well just spend $500 on a sandy bridge upgrade and kick the crap out of that system (and then sell off your remaining components which still sell for good prices)

i.e. you could get a i5 2500k, motherboard, memory and case for $500

CPU is a bit better, but performance will be noticed just in some new games (F1 2010, AvP 3, Dirt3...) but GPU is a bit worse than yours, and it is know that 4850 overheats fast and soon dies. I would not buy, As CPU and MB are overpriced anyway these days and Intel doesnt intend to support future CPUs on this socket.

I agree its not worth $500 over what you have, put that money towards an i5 2500k and board.
