I've had to RMA a 30GB Vertex and I know someone else who had to RMA the same type of drive once as well.

Had my Corsair Force 3 for about a month, experienced freeze couple of time but since the firmware updated I've experienced nothing bad. It works perfectly well now. Thanks to Corsair's customer support...

My Crucial C300 using 0006 from the factory has been flawless for months. My Corsair Nova became ridiculously slow after some time, where doing a secure erase didn't work, and after RMA'ing it it worked great until yesterday, where it suddenly stopped getting recognized by my laptop and now I need to RMA again. Luck of the draw I guess.

How long did it take for the nova to get really slow? and how long for RMA? lastly, how long did the last one last? (that's the one I have on order)

Why are you worried about down time with the system because of ssd failure? You've got a hdd there as well. Partition it and keep one big partition for storage, the other for win7 just in case. Put your backups on the hdd. If the ssd fails, load win7 on that partition. You'll be back up in an hour.

I'd have to put a clone image everyday then, don't I.

otherwise 2 diff windows are going to have 2 diff setups.

not to mention I'd have to have 2 installs of everything.

like if i run boot off the C drive, but all my games are on 'd' drive, but then I load windows 7 from say F drive, it's not going to see the games that are in d drive, because there might be some things that the original boot drive (c) is storing.
