Sound issues between PC and Xbox.

I have 5.1 speakers that I'd like to use with my PC as well as xbox. I have my PC hooked up to a Dell U2410 via DisplayPort and the speakers plugged into the back of the PC. My xbox is hooked up via HDMI, but I don't know where to connect the audio out port on the monitor to to make the xbox play over the speakers.
Any ideas? Thanks.

My best solution for you would be to get an HDMI switch to hook your Xbox and PC up to. Now obviously you'll need a DP to HDMI connector for the video card. After that, just hook the speaks up to the HDMI switch and it should work fine.

Thanks, I'll look into that.
Also, here's some more info:

My speaker system is the Logitech X-540

And the sound is a Realtek ALC892 built in to an Asrock Z68 Pro3 motherboard.
