l was hoping theres some config magic l could do to sort out the problem, but guess thats not the case. l'll just wait it out and use a different DE.
It's a new release, it happens almost every time when they do a new releas. If your using the latest Kubuntu, and I bet you are, it suffers from the same problems. It's why people prefer to use the slightly older versions, things run smoother because they are more developed. Arch and the "bleeding edge" *buntus suffer from that. I blame the patching, you can blame whatever.
