Nvidia Drives Cause Bluescreen

Thread Starter
Hey i need a little help. My computer has constantly been bluescreening 2 days ago and i fixed the problem. But now its back. I downloaded Blue Screen Viwer and i has come up with dxgkrnl.sys, dxgmms1.sys and nvlddmkm.sys. I know that the drivers for My video cards are causing this because when i reinstall the drivers they it seems to work for 1 boot. This all started to happen once i updated to the new 280.26 drivers,. i downgraded but the problem still persists to a certain degree. Any help would be good help. Thx

Perhaps downgrading once more might work? If anything, I know a fresh re-install of Windows usually does the trick. NVIDIA was progressing so well with their driver updates, but the latest 280.26 drivers causes kernel panics every 4 hours on Firefox! D:. I know it's a pain to fresh wipe, but I'd choose a fresh install over constant BSODs. *sigh*.. hope a new driver update comes out fixing all of this.

Did you completely remove the new driver before going back to the old one?

Ooh, I forgot to mention that.. knew I was forgetting something. Remnants of the old driver may still be lurking somewhere. Could cause problems to persist, or worsen.
