BUT THEN AGAIN, my power supply is non-modular and with the extra molex connectors from my hard drives, i just shove then under the HDD cage and they drag the case. So, that might cause a problem.
Yeah i stuff them there too,btw its completely normal for a Gigabyte Board to loop once when it starts cold. Put everything back and tell us if you encounter a problem again.

Computer is not posting right now, at least I can't tell because apparently I'm having an error with my graphics card too. But, chip, I am now going to start putting things back in and seeing if it works again.

Alright, first off i had an old 8800gt graphics card laying around just to see if I can get the screen to work. Turns out, even with the other card in, my screen will not turn on. I feel there might be a problem with the PCI-E lane.

I think something just got pressed up against something, or a cable was being pulled too tight and had an intermittent connection. I know when I tidied up the cables in my case I had to do a lot of "adjusting" of things, and I'm surprised I didn't mess anything up.

I would rebuild in the case...very carefully. If it works outside the case, it should work inside the case if installed properly.

Just my 2c worth,

No Rich, your right, thats a good assessment.

The main reason I had said motherboard, is because he twice got it to work normally, then the same symptoms returned.

But yes, double check your ties to make sure, when you tightened then, the wires them self didn't pull loose from there contact points.

It's nice having working parts around to check things out!
But this is also a possible symptom of a board going bad.

Question: How long nave you used this board, and is it run 24/7, or only run, when your using it?

BTW, Inteller, I see your rocking that 990x...dangggggg. That's a lot of cash. But anyways, Guys, my PCI-E lane has now stopped working. Also, it is the only pci-e lane on this board

Inteller, I have had this board since January (2nd owner). Also, Ill leave it on if for maybe 2 days straight at the most, but only if I'm downloading something. Other than that, i put it in sleep mode when I'm done with it.

If it's easy enough to take off your side panel, so you can take a look at all the caps, (looking for swelling or leaking), and take a good look at the PWM, looking for scorch marks.
Use a bright flashlight to aid you!

Is it still under warranty?

Is your memory within the spec of the motherboard? Your board has known issues with coldbooting and memory problems.

Even if it is, usually the warranty does not follow the board.
Once it was sold used/2nd hand, the warranty has been voided.
