Personal skill must improve not only on making kills but also with communication or at least moving and killing with ur squad as 4 guns moving around the battlefield instead of one.
It forces you into bottlenecks. Forces you to overcome those very hard/difficult odds. If you can overcome them, then bam. You're that much better.
The perfect match, is 32 Clan Members -vs- 32 other Clan Members for the win.
That^ is the epitome of the battlefield game. When teamwork, science, strat & tactics all come together.
Coincidentally, tourney play is where "ftl" came from. When hacker/macro types, who were accustomed to high points, started going to these tourneys, only to find that "high score" doesn't mean anything if you loose. So being #1 scorer on a loosing team, mean nothing. (Selfish players cannot think)
But, because hardly anyone had the internetz back then, it ended up being 4 Clans (4 groups) or, allied clans in Ally vs Axis.
But, now with larger clans & social networking, I'd expect to many of the larger 2142/2 clans vieing for tourney space on BF3 with the 32 vs 32 format.
