Sorry, but you can't actually OC the 590. Not only is it limited, the OCP kicks in.
All you have to do is look at 580SLI vs 6970Xfire. 2/3/4-way performance is similar while one costs half as much.
I own 3 of the 590's, 2 6990's and there are 5 of each in my office...
Hell, you could go back a page in the 590 thread and see that you're wrong...Your ignorance in/surrounding this topic is not my responsibility, it's yours.
The 590 CAN be overclocked and in real world applications DOES beat the 6990's...
Both my 6990's when pushed to 900mhz are still BEATEN by the 590 in real world applications because, duh nu nu naaaa, they're not benching, they're processing.
OCP? It's even more clear you're not current on your 590 knowledge.
I don't care how the 580 performs...You started a discussion about the 590, stick to it or don't discuss it at all.
In recent benches at stock, done for the MARS II, it can be seen that in real world applications under current drivers, the 590 beats the 6990 STOCK.
In heaven/ungine etc? Hell no but, in real world apps, yes.
Now, Nvidia may be inclined to do a 595, I'm under an NDA surrounding this so, all I can say is that with the amount of "time" they now have while they figure out Kepler...You may actually see one...Not "one done right" or, "this is how it should've been"...because if you followed Nvidia at all, you'd see they still think the 590 is perfect...So, it is POSSIBLE, we might see a 595 on new arch...Who knows when but, they got plenty of time.
