Any adavantage in fan blowing against the back of your Mobo

My case has an option of installing a fan behind the motherboard to blow on the area where the cpu cut out is. my question is is there any advantage at all in doing this? would it help keep the cpu slighty cooler or is it just a gimmicky thing?

I don't think it would be of any benefit except maybe for extra pressure (be it positive or negative)

I would put a fan in it and see. Do a write up on any changes you see.

Try it out and see for us! But could you get some pics aswell? I like the looks of Elysium despite its size.

I have the same option, I'm think it would help with CPU temps since it's a another fan blowing onto the CPU. Well......under at least.

I ran a backside fan when I had my CM690. It seemed to drop proc temps by 1-2C.

More airflow ussually doesn't hurt anything. I've had fans behind my mother board tray before. It is ussually a dead air spot with no air flow. I don't think it will drop any sensor temp, but the temp of the air behind my mother board tray dropped as much as 15° on my temp probe reading, but depended on what case i was using. Some cases already manage to move that air. Like my NZXT Tempest and Phantom do it very well, but I think that is due to the large exhaust fans on the top.

Didn't make a difference when I had my CM690 but then I didn't have a very "hot" processor.
