You can't move the AppData itself without making a junction, you can however move the Local, LocalLow and Roaming folders inside Appdata with RightClick>Properties>Location>Move on each of them. Any folder with a location tab can be safely moved in this way. You need to make a new folder to move to beforehand, I normally give it the same name, and be sure to select the option to move data to the new location.
Whoa! I have never even considered looking for a Location tab on these 3 folders! I guess I just assumed that it only applied to the folders right inside of C:\\Users\\Me. Damn!
However, a folder doesn't need to be created first. If the folder doesn't exist, then it will say "The folder ______ does not exist. Would you like to create it?"
