Serious Acer Support Issue

Hey guys, quick question for you all.

So about a month ago, my screen had a random bar going across it. No damage to the laptop, no heavy objects, etc. Just a random white bar, like a connector got FUBAR'd.

So I sent it in for repairs so I could have it in time for classes.

THREE WEEKS LATER they send it back. With a sheet just saying "sent back unrepaired", and now the ENTIRE screen is ****ed.

Not sure if you guys have experienced this, but Acer support is non-existant. You can make repair-tickets for your specific product's number, but there is no general phone line (there is one you can pay for..) for this type of issue, and NO E-Mail. Whatsoever. At all.

Thoughts?

This is bull****. Already in my first week of classes and they send me back a laptop late, not repaired, worse than before. Really irked.

And before anyone says "derp acer" - X-Mas Gift.

When you received the laptop back, did the sheet list on it any info like what you told Acer support, you description, and did they say it had a bar then they received it or did they say anything like the whole screen was dead when they got it?

Yep, here you go.

Problem Description: Screen has a bar going through it upon boot-up. No fracture or "break" on any sides. No heavy objects were placed on or near laptop.

Diagnosis/Repair:
Unit is returning unrepaired.

But they have to accept the issue in the first place before they even send it in..

It's just.. ridiculous. Just tried hooking it up to my monitor now too. No dice. Monitor doesn't even flicker.

So you have nothing on the screen and nothing coming up on an external screen? Are there any buttons on the keyboard for changing the screens? I know my Dell laptop has a button to press to change the screen from laptop, duplicate, laptop and external, and just external. I'm sure you will have to set it up if you never did before. My computer just goes to external not automatically when I connect it.

Just to make sure, it is turning on right? HDD is spinning and ticking away if you can hear it? tongue.gif You never know.
