I think, it might be a good game.

They know they have too step their game up with a more quality game too compete... and its going too be more of their winning multiplayer formula.
Everyone trash talks modern warfare 3 because its "cool" too hate on modern warfare 3 now... They have added a lot too it and most of the people who trash talk it actually dont know what they are talking about...

Too a call of duty fan, it will probably be a good game...

Although I will strictly stick too battlefield, if modern warfare 3 came down in price I would consider buying it for the sheer brainless deathmatch factor of it, but it is just too damn overpriced. I will probably have played battlefield for a long time before I consider getting modern warfare 3.

I have also played battlefield since when battlefield 1942 came out (unfortunately, because this was YEARS ago, I lent the game too someone at school and never saw it again) and I first started playing COD after MOH Tier 1 let me down... I was so excited for MOH: Tier one, I got it and then played it, it was crap and then I realised all my xbox friends were playing MW2... I picked up a copy at a half price sale at EB games, then got another copy for my PC when I built a gaming PC. so im not going just with trends... I believe my opinion is an unbiased one.

I'll be getting both...

BF3 - PC
MW3 - Console

I love both but I'm a little more keen for BF3

It's not actually a joke when people say CoD's main audience is the 8-13 year old range. It really is, and that age group will probably account for a large amount of sales that aren't preorders.

I laugh everytime I hear someone is getting BF3 for 360/PS3 though. It's just wrong..

Why is it wrong? Maybe they have other interests rather than spending thousands on a computer. They already have an xbox or playstation 3, why should they spend thousands just too play a game that they can already play on an xbox or ps3 they already have?

The only difference is going too be smaller maps and slightly less impressive graphics. Its still going too probably be the best looking console game available, STILL with larger maps than say, BFBC2 which console gamers seem too enjoy.

Battlefield 3 is being used like a tool, for PC elitests too try and rub it in consoles faces that they get bigger maps... (and most of them dont realise console players couldnt care less, you would have too be freaking stupid not too realise a $2000 pc will have more power than a $200 console, they already know PCs are more powerful) and slightly better graphics with something they spent 4 - 8 times as much money on. Too make them feel better... Ive seen this kind of attitude all over the place.

The way they see it, gaming pc is 10 times the price, for about 1.5 times the graphics.

Slightly? The Xbox 360 graphics of BC2 look like your playing a 1998 game.

This. I have the money to upgrade to 580gtx SLI if i wanted to but i dont see it as a viable investment at this point in time for just one game..
I get 60fps maxed out on BC2 on pc with MY system as it is now. Im not spending another 1500$ just to get better visuals for bf3.

Perhaps after 6 months i shall upgrade when 580s are cheap and so are sandy bridge then get bf3 on pc like i did for bc2.

Im getting BF3 and MW3 on ps3 because i want to be relaxed in my lounge room after a hard days work just playing on my 55inch tv and amazing sound system that cramped in a study or room on a computer. thats just me though.

Plus all my friends play ps3, id rather have a good time with mates over mic then be playing alone on pc in my study. I admit PC obviously destroys ps3 but in the end isnt it what you have the most fun playing?

Honestly the only problem i have with bc2 on ps3 is no AA, everything else is pretty good.

meh can't say I'm on the same boat as you guys. My PC friends sure are gonna get bf3, but I don't think they've ever bought a cod game anyways, only bc2. My console friends are still hyped about mw3. I told them about bf3 and they didn't seem interested at all. However i think last time i asked him he said he would get it. He's still hyped on mw3 though. Also I was in gamestop canceling my preorder (preordered on origin) and I heard 2 dudes in the store talking about mw3 and they sounded pretty excited about it.

Love how people whine about Cod's simple gameplay. Dont yall remember how much fun Quake and UT were ? All you did was run around and kill with big guns and unrealistic amounts of ammo.. Call of duty is just the modern day version of those games. I bet a ton of ppl here havent even given CoD a chance, cause thats just the cool kidz thing on forums these days . but if youve grown out of classic run and gunnage then whatever thats cool

i like cod because its fast paced and hella smooth and the guns just feel so tight. BF's shooting + movement has always felt loose to me, I've read that BF3's combat is way better and feels more fluid than previous shooters, so I may end up likeing it better than MW3, especially since its PC focused and huge in scope

That is the exact reason I like COD over BF. I think BF is too slow in multiplayer, and getting people to cooperate is absolutely impossible. COD I can run and gun and I know I'm out on my own, with the occasional good group of players.

It's personal preference though. I'll buy both and play whichever I like, and keep the other for a coaster!
