Turn HBAO off.

Profit. And I'm pretty sure that a pair of GTX 560 TI in SLI should ace the game's requirements easy.

Code:

EVGA SuperClocked 01G-P3-1567-KR GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
-$10.00 Instant
$20.00 Mail-in Rebate Card
$249.99
$239.99

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
$119.99

ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.1)
-$10.00 Instant
$179.99
$169.99

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz
$219.99
Subtotal:$749.96
You could probably wait for the 560TI to get cheaper though.

When you spend your time in a PC forum, then obviously you'll see a shift in hype towards Battlefield. There's a mainly console forum that I frequent, and they ******* LOVE Call of Duty. I don't understand how they can be that excited for a game that's so similar to all the other ones.

BF 3 is scaled down (a lot) for consoles and MW 3 will decimate it in sales. PC platform is pretty much irrelevant, it amounts for about 10% of total sales figures.

Activision didn't get their marketing campaign rolling yet. Just wait for the month of October, you'll see plenty trailers & stuff. They're usually more patient and will advertise the crap out of MW 3 closer to launch. Plus they don't even need the mumbo jumbo EA is pushing, they already have the brand established.

Didn't EA say that their PC sales were much more than 10%?

I will be playing Battlefield on October 25, 2011 and I will be playing Modern Warfare 3 on November 8, 2011. I don't care what the Call of Duty or Battlefield fanboys say. Battlefield 3 is an epic team based shooter with giant maps, vehicles and a more tactical style of gameplay. There's a time and place for that. A round in Battlefield 3 won't be short. But what if I don't have the time for some Battlefield 3? Or what if I want a change of pace? I'll go and play some Modern Warfare 3. Don't forget that there are other interesting games coming out at around the same time such as Rage and Skyrim.

Personally I won't fund lazy gaming development.

I'm not 'fanboy' on any side my any means. I played beta of BF:BC2 and thats it of Battlefield related games - I've put in 800 hours into COD4 (still do), and 500 hours into MW2.. I'm sane enough to see, that the development of the series is become lazy and I don't think its worth $60 every new game.

I also hang out on console forums too, if you ask most COD fans 'what makes the new MW3 worth looking forward to?' they never actually detail features or aspects of the game that would count as a valid answer.
Most console gamers are getting MW3 because its popular and because their friends are getting it. NOTHING to do with the actual game itself. I'm sorry but I think thats a stupid reason to buy a game, as it rewards the publishers and developers for being lazy.

The reason why I am excited for BF3, is because you can immediately see that there has been a lot of effort put into the game. Although graphics don't 'make' a game, you have to admire the quality of the new Frostbite 2 engine, you have to appreciate the amount of work that must have been put into it to make it perform and look as good as it does... and you have to wonder why COD is still using an engine that they've been using since COD2.
