Personally I won't fund lazy gaming development.
I'm not 'fanboy' on any side my any means. I played beta of BF:BC2 and thats it of Battlefield related games - I've put in 800 hours into COD4 (still do), and 500 hours into MW2.. I'm sane enough to see, that the development of the series is become lazy and I don't think its worth $60 every new game.
I also hang out on console forums too, if you ask most COD fans 'what makes the new MW3 worth looking forward to?' they never actually detail features or aspects of the game that would count as a valid answer.
Most console gamers are getting MW3 because its popular and because their friends are getting it. NOTHING to do with the actual game itself. I'm sorry but I think thats a stupid reason to buy a game, as it rewards the publishers and developers for being lazy.
The reason why I am excited for BF3, is because you can immediately see that there has been a lot of effort put into the game. Although graphics don't 'make' a game, you have to admire the quality of the new Frostbite 2 engine, you have to appreciate the amount of work that must have been put into it to make it perform and look as good as it does... and you have to wonder why COD is still using an engine that they've been using since COD2.
