I don't know what to do. My PC is custom built. Is it possible that I connected the wrong cable or didn't even connect it. When I use sweeper, it doesn't even show the LAN devices even though I installed them twice..

Is your router working with static or dynamic IPs?

in cmd:
ping 192.168.1.1 -t

let me know what you get. Also are your drivers for x64?

I don't know. I'll check it in a sec. For more clarification, my old computer (the one I'm using) works absolutely fine with the internet. Yes I use a router but I already disconnected it and directly connecting with the modem.

A router will hand out an IP quicker than modem will.

If you are connecting directly into the modem, sometimes you need to reset the modem in between connecting devices, sometimes they only hand out 1 ip per mac address.

This is a network issue. Is your router working with static or dynamic IP's? What kind of router do you have?

go to start>run>cmd:

ipconfig/all
ping 192.168.1.1

and tracert -d 192.168.1.1

I'm using a linksys wireless 2.2 ghz broadband router. I'm going to say I'm working with a static ip because my provider is Rogers.
