Bios/system problems with Crosshair V Formula

Hello, anyone who can help me?

I just got myself a Formula V 2 weeks ago, and the system have been kinda unstable, though fast at times. By the first time i started up the bios there were some spots of permanent graphic "errors" or what i shoulld call it, so i cant read all of it. Pluss the bios wont scale itself right. Im missing some to the right and to the bottom. Anyone have an idea please? So much unessesary fiddeling with my pc the last half year. Thought it would end with the Formula, but... Is it a wrecked card or? Does the insurance cover it then? Appreciate any answer.. I have ran burnin test, and Prime95 for a long time and it all seems good there, but my gaming is laggin and my loading time is very variable, pluss some hangups. Can almost seem like my HDD is hanging up sometimes.. But the bios wouldnt be affected by the HDD? Have an old CRT screen btw..

My specs : CPU Phenom 2 965 BE
PSU Corsair HX 750 W
GPU HIS Radeon 6870
RAM Corsair Dominator DDR3 2x2 GB
HDD WD Caviar Black 640 GB ( getting a SSD OCZ Agility 3, in 1-2 days)
Case CM Advanced II
HP CRT monitor
Cooling Antec 620 Water

Yeah, I had this same problem. If you have a "regular monitor" (eg DVI hookups) try that, and see if it works. My problem was with the monitor I was using (because I was using a tv as a monitor). Once I switched over to a normal monitor, it worked just fine. As for the game loading, I have no idea about that. Sorry frown.gif

btw the Antec 620 Cooler is awesome. Great load temps and a lot of room for OC. But no OC yet until i get a stable system. Would be great with some expert views on this bios error..

Tnx for the reply smile.gif Did u also have the spots of graphic error or was it just the scaling?

Click in my sig the crosshair V club. There are lots of answers there biggrin.gif ALUCARDVPR, Tweeky, and incurablegeek know quite a lot about the board smile.gif
*EDIT - I had a cpu fan error, when the cpu fan worked fine. That is simply disabling cpu fan errors on startup, but I had the scaling problem. Couldnt see a thing until I got my monitor hooked up.

I also have the bios problem. Does anyone know of a fix for it? I don't have another monitor so I can't swap them over to try that.

I bought myself a new 120 hz screen and the bios scaled itself well without any probs, so now i can see whats in there smile.gif But still have problems in startup. I press powerbutton and it shuts itself down after 3 secs. then i press memOk button and take off the "Halt on errors" at startup so it loads windows and then i restart and put the memory on 1.65 V. If i restart and still have the halt on errors (in bios) off it goes well until i power off my computer again. Then i have to do the proseudure again. The memory and bios device lights red at startup and the graphic lights one sec. When i am in windows and games it seems ok stable, and Have only had two-three bluescreens/hangups in 3+ months. And my Pc is on for several days. But somethings wrong obviously ^^
