Corsair XMS3 user error or bad sticks?

Thread Starter
Well, I have been running my current rig with 4gb's of Corsair XMS3 DDR3 running at 1333. I recently decided to throw in another 4 gigs. First start-up; there was no issue. With the exception of a lot of lag during game play, everything ran well. Next time I tried to start up, my machine wouldn't even post. I removed the new sticks and it ran fine again. Does it seem like a lost cause and I should just RMA the sticks for one last try? Or is there a chance I'm doing something wrong (because we all know how hard it is to install RAM)?
Thanks!
Decheka

Have you tried it with just the new sticks? I'm not experienced with AMD but I'm guessing you may need more NB voltage for 8GB's.

if the cpu is a c2 ver it will have trouble running 4 dimms faster than 1333
c3 will do 4 dimms at 1600+ just fine
(cpuz will give the stepping info) ss below

are both kits the same model or part#?

give the nb a little voltage bump .1 at a time dont go past 1.2 iirc

I'll try to push the NB voltage and see if that cures it. Ffejrxx, they are both the same model.
