Did you reboot the compy after loading the monitor drivers just now? - no but I will now and see what happens but I think i had the latest drivers.

Have you tried changing the res in Display Properties - settings? - yea, it just stretches everything and does not shrink it down to size.

Do you have Nvidia driver 266.xx handy? - yes its on a disk

See how you go after reboot.

If that fails, do a clean install of the latest drivers and load up the 266.xx series.

Failing that, Im out of ideas. Your monitor may not allow that res with this card.

Well, the simplest method you could go with is changing both your default and game resolution to 1280x720( though heaven knows why you're getting such a strange resolution problem in-game >_>), and then back when you want to play/surf the web/or whatever at 1080p. That's just my opinion.

I am installing driver: 266.44

I will restart and test. Also some games I get "input not supported" and some games will just stretch out.

I tried that but it just stretches around the whole screen and does not create this:

Notice the black around the screen? I had that on my old card but now it just stretches around the whole screen and won't shrink to the correct size.

Thats just too weird.

Have you tried what X-Country Dude96 suggested? Changing res in-game?

Do you have an automatic image setup button on your monitor? have you pressed it?

Open up Nvidia control center>click adjust desktop size and position> select no-scaling or fullscreen
Make sure the scaling mode it set to GPU and also(if wanted) override scaling set by games and applications
