i dont know much about sli but what i do know is that you cant sli 2 different cards they need to be 2 of the same model.

so id say you gonna have to sli 2 8500gt.

thats if that was your question.

You will not notice any upgade at all. Those cards cannot be paired at all. At best you could output one monitor per card, but still, the 8500 would be severely limited by the 7300.

Your best bet is to buy a low end cheapo Fermi, like the GT 430. That single card would be better than those two together.

You cannot SLI different architectures. Both cards are pretty different.

As said before you cannot SLI 2 different cards, Scalable link interface can only link when both or more cards are the same chip.

Anyway, i wouldn't really bother putting old cards in SLI. What games are you looking to play?

If you really dont want to pay much, it at least say get a couple of 8800GT's or 9800GT's

EDIT: Does the motherboard even have 2 PCI-E slots? Does it support SLI?

Those cards are so old and inefficient, that, even if you attempted to make one as a PhysX card, it simply wouldn't offer a performance increase.

This, you shouldn't really be bothering with such old hardware.
