Can I use PSP Power Cord w/ The PS3?

The PSP (US version) came with a "Power Cord" that has to be used with the provided "Power Brick" for the PSP.

Anyone knows if I can use the PSP's Power Cord with the PS3?

They have the same length, same "front and end" connector type.

Any ideas?

more than likely, chances are it's similar to the generic kettle plug design.

Worse case you blow the fuse in the plug which should be checked. Since you're not using the power brick that came with it you're not changing the supply of power to the PS3, only the plug --> power brick cable

100% safe... As I said, worst case you'll blow the fuse in the plug.

If you mean the power cable without the little box its safe. There is nothing to blow, its an insulated wire that carries electricity from the wall socket to whatever you hook it to. Every cable will work the same if it fits. The only problem could be if you coil up a long cable wuth small diameter(read thin cable) To a high power consumption device (heavy duty several 100W machines) the cable can get hot and if in a coil can potentially burn. What you are doing is perfectly safe. Hope this helps
