New PureTrak HD and PureGlides - Page 2

Thread Starter
well reporting back now... the HD's after break in, are actually a lot more smooth and slicker now than the perfectglides.

I am using them on the a 9hd mouse pad.. Also the xai feet have a lot more surface area than my old MX518.... soo its really hard to make a good compairson sice they are completely different mice... Either way i reccomend the Hd's over the perfect glides hands down,,, the extra couple bucks are sooo worth it, just because of the durability and to think I orderd a set of 3 of these things, the mouse feet will outlast me I bet.

@Themanbeast: Thanks for the review. I might consider buying them.

I have been looking for some mouse skates for the Kinzu for my upcoming KinzuAdder build.

So far the only options I've found are the Perfect Glides and Corepads (which are only sold in Europe?).

Quick recommendation before I pick up a few sets of PerfectGlides?

The perfectglides are quite nice, I would go with them over the more expensive corepad models.

*The following is a warning for people like me, who are impatient*

So I got tired of waiting for my Perfectglide HD to round off by themselves, as they were causing noticeable drag. I attempted to round them myself using some fine sandpaper. Don't do this. Don't be like me.

I'm now waiting for new perfectglides to get here so I can stop using my hard pad.

HD's are 100% teflon and 1.2mm thick - fastest material
originals are some blend and are 0.8mm thick - balance of control & speed

both are good products if you match them to your needs. if you like speed, don't get the originals.

if you're all-around gamer... get the HD's. they'll be the last set you'll ever buy mainly because they last so long lol

I'm still on my first set of pureglides. I have a good 2 centimeters and I've been interchanging my pads from soft to hard since I installed them (a year ago). Don't think I'll be needing to replace my feet for a while. I'll wait until I receive my puretrak talent to see if I need more speed because I love me some speed. thumb.gif
