Can you change my cpu on the chart to Athlon II x2 255.
The QX6700 in my sig is my main gaming rig.

Got the x2 255 to 3.6Ghz last night. seems to be stable. But I've noticed this board seems to put more vcore out than others with these cpu's.
set to auto the vcore is 1.41 and I can not manually set it any lower in bios.
Under load at 3.6Ghz I get 1.43vcore with it set to auto, which I think is safe on this board with a 65w cpu.

Any one else notice this higher than usual vocre for default stock?.

Yes, it does have a "higher than usual" vcore, which is sometimes the cause of VRM failures. So, stay with the manual setting.

And I will change that cpu within the next 60 seconds! smile.gif

I've never used features like cool and quiet, but as this build was for an htpc I dont need it running full speed and voltage at all times.
If I manually set voltage will it still lower down when the cpu down clocks?

Excuse my ignorance in this, but again I've always turned power saving features off.

Totally new to overclocking, always ran at stock speeds and had this setup for 4 months. Been tempted to use the OC genie switches. Im currently hitting 31c with no overclock @2.8ghz
