Trying to read somewhere what that is. Is there any info that you may know about on the v8+4? Thanks.

... I have 8+2 and it's fine. This 18phase crap is marketing, I swear.

Phase's do matter, but as long as you don't have 4+1 or 6 or whatever you're golden.

indeed. concerning OCing this board seems to be occasionally ****ty for some and awesome for others. Ive had two from the same shop and they both cant even go above 4,2, otherwise they just die before post.

They do, but the Gen3 boards have some BIOS kinks that need to be worked out.

I had issues with proper recognition of one of my PCIe cards on my Gen3 board. I couldn't get any help from Asrock support other than being repeatedly told to return the board, even though I'm sure the board was fine and just needs BIOS work. A buddy on another forum was handled in a similar manner.

The card works fine in my replacement (non-Asrock) board. I think the Gen3 boards will probably be a great choice in a couple of months, or if you aren't installing much in the way of add-in cards, but I think the Rev. 1.0 BIOS needs work.
