I would try that too, but don't know what to put there.
What I should put on VCCSA, VCCIO, (CPU PLL) and PCH as 'normal' voltages?

I bolded everything I left at normal/auto/default. TBH all your settings look fine except for not using manual voltage.

For a guide, I am at 4.8GHZ With 1.395 volts. All depends on what clocks you are looking for. You can probably get to 4.6ghz with 1.34v, but everychip is different.

Hey guys temp question. 2500k With coretemp my c1 is a few degrees higher normally and while prime testing. Last quick run was say 54/62/58/57. That or c0 just stays cooler. TIM looked even. I was at 4.8 with 1.37-1.38 load on a short run of 10mins small fft.

What's up with all the different recommended prime methods too? Is custom the way to go? Doing this from phone but saw a custom one yesterday. On my amd I would run small fft and blend

Im using the maximus iv gene-z z68 to disable igpu all I do is give it - max volts? Will it help with temps?

Thanks

edit:::

Ok nevermind this was the thread I saw the custom prime settings, after passing the settings explained, you guys just stick to normal blend?

I don't know about the rest of it, I stress test by folding, I don't use Prime anymore, but as far as the C1 temp being higher, I see the same on mine. I don't know why this is, but that core always seems to run hotter than the others.

Cool thanks, Yeah I have been reviewing some of the settings, does seem like that core is consistently higher, guess its probably closest to the imc or igpu or something weird lol

Not a problem. Because this core does run hotter, I always base my temps off of that core, that way I know the true max my CPU is hitting when I OC.

Your CPU PLL is a little low I think. Try bumping it up to 1.75 or 1.76 and even disabling the "PLL over voltage." On "auto" you cannot be sure how high or low it is or when it is engaging. It seems many people are able to fix the idle BSOD's by disabling C3 and C6 states, but you have already done that.

What is the stock PLL supposed to be? On default my mobo (maximus iv gene-z) has it at 1.80 so I have it there now while trying to get 4.8ghz prime stable.

Currently failing custom prime profile with 1792 fft size about 10mins in but my voltage can still go up, only at 1.392 load. Plus I have 4 dimms of memory

WHoops, I think I quoted the wrong post. Didn't mean to quote "Newbie 2009."

Yes, Asus often will have stock PLL at around 1.80, but some people can be stable with considerably less and find that too much actually makes them unstable. Sometimes using 4 DIMMS can complicate an overclock. If trying to achieve a higher overclock you should make sure that the memory is running at stock speed and timings, and even consider using only 2 sticks temporarily.

Your VCCIA and VCCIO are on auto. I personally don't like going for high overclocks with settings on auto, as they may be under or over volting, and when trying to troubleshoot you have a value to tweak. Max VCCIO is generally 1.2, but you should have no reason to exceed 1.1. VCCIA I am not really familiar with.
