Now I realise this is Summer but I have to say these results seem disappointing to me.
Any hints or tips?

You just need better cooling, I never used a 212 cooler but think the evo is noticably better if not mistaken, think someone mentioned it has a better base or something. My temps with an antec 920 at 1.38v in 78F ambient I think was 66C after 2hrs stressing. I cant remember but never breaks 70C so that might be the ticket to getting better clocks. That or you need to get some good thermal paste and reseat the cooler in hopes of slightly cooler temps. That could be an issue since it still seems hotter than it should be at 1.35v

Judging from the "The Sandy Stable Club" thread it seems that quite a few people got great results with the 212 plus. I'm not ready to write it off entirely.
It is 20+°C in here after all.

Get some more fans on your case (if you dont have already nice airflow there) and change the TIM to better one, example Arctic Cooling MX-4. These help you to lower your temps a bit smile.gif

Have you tried to tweak other voltages than Vcore?

Not really, I'm not entirely sure which ones would help. I'm very much open to suggestions because even without the temperatures I think the voltage requirements on my chip are higher than many of the other 2600k OCs I see.

What is your room temp? 40+ ? Can you cool the room first and than test it?
Artic MX4 or Zalman STG-2 can help max 3-7 c from TIM that's came with 212(very bad TIM)
If is not that TIM maybe bad pressure, mounting, contact from cooler to proc.
212 plus uses the H.D.T (Heat pipe Direct Touch) so it needs a goop of TIM- not a rice size(more like 2-3 rice size)
best metod is to make a thin layer on proc with plastic sheet that bends-and put thin line of TIM on metal in the middle that separates heat pipes

Your temps are quite high for your OC and voltage, I would say your voltage is pretty high as well for 4.4. Definitely look into reseating your 212, and airflow into the case. Also what are you room temperatures?

124 generally isn't vcore and is related to other voltages and power settings - see this thread http://www.overclock.net/t/1120291/solving-fixing-bsod-124-on-sandybridge-read-op-first

I'll check if there is enough paste and the cooler is seated correctly.
As for airflow, the case just has one big intake fan at the front + a small exhaust fan at the back and a big one at the top. I've edited my signature to display my setup and a view of the inside of the case.

Well I only get BSoD124 during overclocking and only ever under load while stress testing/playing games. So never at idle or some random event.
It's confusing, I read that thread about the BSoD 124 issues and read the other thread it linked to about the BSoD 124 during stress tests but from what I can tell it's all about blue screens during startup or other non-stress test periods. I'm not really at home when it comes to "VTT (vccio)" either.

I'm currently running 4500MHz @ 1.390V without any issues. Only did the 15min tests though, not a full day blend.
My temperatures are hovering around 40°C, 45°C, 45°C and 45°C under little load (browser with 43 tabs open, steam running).

Thanks for the replies btw.

I don't wanna barge in like this but I kinda have too frown.gif I was running my i5 2500K at 4.7 GHZ at 1.380 v with prime 95 for 16 and a half hours now but I had one error occur... at 7 hours 56 minutes in 'worker 4' stopped working. I am not the most bright in this area of computers with over clocking and stuff but maybe someone could help me out? imo 8 hrs of full stableness at 100% usage is pretty good... but if it isnt then what do i have to change?

Hey guys I have just built a new SB system and was wondering if I could get some feedback on my OC. Motherboard is the Intel dp67bg / CPU 2700k and memory is 1600 1.5v stock timings 8-8-8-24. Basically all I have done is kept the stock vCore and changed all the turbo cores to 45, changed the Core Current Limit to 150A from 97 amps, changed the Turbo Short Power Max to 220W from 120 watts and changed the Turbo Boost Power Max to 210W from 95W. There is also no offset voltage applied to the cores - 0v. The highest voltage I have seen during CPU stress test is 1.31v. Again everything else is stock. I've been running the system with these settings and havent had any issues but was just wondering if this is ok as I am new to learning how to OC. Also host is 99.77 as my MB does not have the feature to disable SS. I can play Diablo 3, SC2 and DDO hours on end with no issues whatsoever but just want to make sure these settings will not have any detrimental effects in the long run. Also I can run AgentGODS Intel Burn TestV2 on maximum and pass with no crashes. I do have P95 but I dont see running a test for 12+ hrs on end is really needed. This computer is used to work from home so computer is on 11+ hours a day. Also temps max around 68C and idle around 27C, thanks for reading.

I am not the most bright in this area of computers with over clocking and stuff but maybe someone could help me out? imo 8 hrs of full stableness at 100% usage is pretty good... but if it isnt then what do i have to change?

Personally I just run 1hr of 1344 and 1hr of 1792 and maybe 2hrs of blend and call it good, many will say that may not be "stable" but I havent had any issues. I have even folded on what I call stable with the method for 8hr sessions and no problems. I would consider your overclock stable

I would go over the tips on the first page if you have issues but I consider anything under 1.40v generally safe but others will say 1.45v is safe too. I like to be a little conservative so if your stable at 1.31v your ok. Also 68c doesnt seem bad either, personally I like to keep it under 70c
