With the newer prime95 my vcore spikes to 1.39 but my temps are lower than the older prime95 that was spiking only up to 1.376.
Before max temp on a core was 75c now it's 70c.
I have my offset to 0.010 and llc ultra high, pll overvoltage on auto, i disabled the c states and c3 c6 and time will show if i get bsod on idle again smile.gif

Thank you OP for this amazing thread!

Hey everyone,
ok so I oc'd my 2600k to 4.5 ghz using p8p67 deluxe mb (latest bios).
The cpu is stable under load at 1.280v. (tested with prime and ibt).
I disabled llc ,ppl over voltage, im using power saving options (c3, c6, c1e, speed step) and my voltage is set by offset of +0.010v and turbo offset of 0.40v.
The thing that bothers me is that theres random voltage spikes of 1 second or less reaching 1.336v. Is there away to get rid of them or reduce them ?
Thanks for your time !

I was having random workers stop when I was attempting to find my stock voltage overclock, so I started bumping up the voltage and still kept stopping. I then reset the BIOS to default and ran Prime again. Stock voltage and speed (3.3 MHz) and workers are still stopping randomly immediately after starting a stress test. frown.gif Any ideas?

I had the same issue as you, i found out that prime workers were stopping because I had faulty ram sticks

Time to run memtest then I guess.

but its possible it isnt bad ram. it might need more vdimm or might need more vccio. 4 dimm of ram is hard on a memory controller compared to 2 dimm.
