Blue Ripjaws X 1333 CAS7 -> 1600? - Page 2

Thats actually 798.2, and thats good!

800 x 2 = 1600

So your running just shy of 1600MHz!

Your next step would be to run Prime95 (the blend test)
for about 3 hours, to check for stability.

Or you can just leave things as they are. It wont hurt anything.

If you ever start to have freezing problems, or Blue screens, then, you'll know that your memory is unstable.

Your the man =) Seems to be running great. Just did a small prime test, blend mode, stopped it - 46 tests in 41 minutes 0 errors. SO i assume its pretty damn stable. One weird this i did notice, and maybe I'm wrong but did my ram overclock increase my CPU temps?! Idle is about the same but at stock settings a blend test got it up to 73C which seems a little bit high. Anyway thanks again I rep'd you for your time!

Take Care,
George

Yep, I'd say your golden!~

Thanks for the +1, & 73C is no biggy!
Normal for the blend test!

Your RAM kit being likely PSC ICs probably won't do 1600Mhz at 7-7-7. 8-8-8, maybe. 7-8-7, also maybe. 9-9-9, probably for sure. Increase voltage only as necessary. Run your tests in the OS with HyperPi at 32M setting. Memory instability will be detected quickly.

Sorry, I got it overclocked to DDR3 1600, 8-8-8-24 2T, but ended up just acquiring a corsair 2x4gb ddr3 1600 set, so I'm running that now!

Thanks,
George

He already had his 1333MHz set running at 1600MHz with 8-8-8-24 timings.

To Kukag,
At least you know now, that they will work at that frequency!

Not bad for a backup set of memory!

Good luck bud!

We've already been over that!

VTT is also VCC/IO
To get these timings you will need to stay on Manual settings.

Set VCC/IO to 1.12v
Set Memory Voltage to 1.6v

Now set your DRAM Frequency to 1600MHz

Now go into the timings
and your going to try the loosest timings first
They have a much better chance of working.

First set them to 8-8-8-24 2N/or 2T (whichever your board
calls it)

Try these settings and post back your results!
