So what it's worth, this is what mine shows now.

For some reason I'm low on 4K QD32 on this test and on AS-SSD I'm lacking on the 4K-64Thrd check (both read) compared to others.

I'm only on SATAII. The difference is very small but still worth doing. Maybe I should have benched in safe mode... This was a very easy update.

Hi, I'm new here. Sorry for my English.
My M4 64 GB ssd will arrive soon as part of a new build and I wonder if it is recommended to update the firmware to 0009 before installing Windows 7.
And I don't know which driver to use: msahci or intel rst.
I will use the Asus Maximus IV Gene-Z motherboard with SATA III port, 2500K cpu, Ripjaws X 1600 ram and 1 TB Samsung F3.
Thanks for your help.

Yes update it before you install Windows and use the Intel RST drivers.

1. Download firmware 0009 and burn the ISO file to a CD.
2. Install SSD in port 1.
3. update SSD firmware
4. Go to BIOS and change boot order making the M4 SSD the first in boot order.
5. Change SATA setup to ACHI in the BIOS. (Do not install OS then change SATA setup; you will get either BSOD or you will not be able to boot!)
6. Install Windows.
7. Install Drivers
8. Optimize Windows for SSD.

Yeh, and for best results you need Intel® Rapid Storage Technology also known as iaStor driver. Good luck
