I think you can still download the free edition of Everest from Major Geeks.

Yep, it's right here: http://majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
My numbers are comparable to yours, with dual channel and slower memory. Does your WEI show a really low value? I'm beginning to think maybe I just borked my windows somehow because other than that WEI value it isnt giving me any problems.

Your scores look decent for a clock of 3.8ghz... you should definitely get atleast a 7.6 WEI score with 4gb @1600mhz.

Note... with sandy bridge.. your memory bandwidth will scale upwards depending on your clock speed. This means that if you clock your cpu higher you will see a substantial gain in memory bandwidth and thus a big gain in your maxxmem score.

In regards to your low score in WEI for memory, was this done on a fresh install? There might have been some changes/corruption done with the wei testing method.

Go to: C:\\Windows\\Performance\\WinSAT\\DataStore
get the mem assessment... if you can attach the file to here as a txt file, if not give me a ss of it,maybe i can see what is going on.

Ok, this is why I see some very high Maxmem scores with system as his, but clocked up to 4.4GHz of 4.7GHz, but with the memory still at 1600MHz.

Great info!

Looked it over and it seems identical to mine which gives me correct results. If i were you i wouldn't worry about it... it might have something to do with windows being weird with the new z68 chipset. (my only guess )

The maxxmem and aida you got are congruent with what you are suppose to be getting so you're not loosing any performance... it's just windows being weird

Thank you for the help man, I really appreciate it. I feel a lot better knowing it's a weird windows thing than a hardware issue. Rep+ for all of you!
