You, sir, clearly have no idea what Deus Ex is about.
This franchise is all about achieving goals the way you decided, not the way some nerfy dev chose during the game development. For every single objective in this game, there's at least 3 or 4 different ways to choose from.
For example, the mission in which you have to get into the morgue to get the neural hub of the hacker. You can choose to absolve some guy you used to know from your days in SWAT so he lets you in, you can choose to enter the police station from the sewers, you can choose to enter the station from the rooftops, you can do a few favors for a friend who's a detective and once it's done she can help you get in, or you can just choose to roll in with guns a blazin.
And depending on the choice you'll make, there will be consequences. From them police officers attacking you or not, or for the guy that let you in to get fired then show up on your doorstep to confront you about it.
This is what Deus Ex is about. You say the game has no replay value? I say it's got plenty. You just gotta make different choices
